This group is for adults who grew up abroad, whether with the foreign service, military, or any other reason. Were you raised in multiple countries and cultures? Do you feel somewhat disconnected from your own culture or any one particular culture? If so, this is the place for you! I hope this group will bring together people who feel this way and who will be able to relate to eachother through our similar experiences and nebulous blended cultural identity.

Have you served in the military or government as a linguist? Have you attended the the Defense Language Institute or Foreign Service Institute for foreign language training? Have you been an instructor at DLI or FSI? Let's meet and exchange experiences, resources and begin a network where we can connect with and help each other.

This group has been created for people who enjoy learning about wine and culture at the same time. Each quarter of the year, we host a wine event at an embassy in Washington DC to share and learn about the wine culture of the hosting country. You don't have to be a member to attend those embassy events. Come and join us for cultural adventures around a glass of wine.
